Fate->Karma -> Swadharma->Surrender

Fate is a strange noun, this often creates confusion, what is karma and fate? Are karma and fate the same or different. It is not only very difficult but impossible to clarify and understand this confusion, yet an attempt can be made to shed light on it. First of all, these two words are intertwined with each other like salt in flour, whose taste can be felt, but they cannot be separated. As soon as the child is born, his fist is closed in such a way to faciliate some formations in due course of time. If we open his fist, we will already find some lines in his hand. Any knowledgeable astrologer can predict some, if not more, important events of life through the horoscope of the child, which are going to happen in his future. This in itself is no less than a wonderful and miraculous thing. The lines on his hand show his fate. These lines are indelible in themselves, that is, whatever is written in the fate, one has to go live through it. Some people are forced to enjoy some happiness and some to experience misery. Many seemingly deserving people face tough conditions and perhaps some undeserving(seemingly only,you will understand why shortly) people are naturally affluent and powerful, all this is a game of fate or just chance for the logicals. The strange thing is that for the sake of fate we automatically keep doing the same work and sometimes get happiness and  sorrow in life.

It seems that work is not the work itself but an action controlled by fate, but it is also true that work is also independent. These two things are contradictory in themselves but if understood deeply then both of them go together. While doing work directed by fate in our life, we get the deserved results given by fate. Many people will get mediocre outcomes even after using the best machinery, skilled artisans, wealth,regimented lifestyle,hardwork and vice versa etc. i.e. their respective outcomes may not reciprocate the stamp of fate and it is also written in fate that the person will get ordinary or medium results even if he has the right resources available. If hardwork/strategy as is perceived by the material world to be essential tool kit towards material success could be directly proportionate to results, then arguably countries e.g Asian/African subcontinent(where jugaad thrives in the most remote places literate or illiterate) would be the most powerful forces in the world.  The relative success and failure of our life is achieved thus by fate. Now if we observe how karma is independent, then it is necessary to have such a star of fortune(some will argue its their sole intelligence derived from life) as well in our life which suddenly teaches us the difference that where will we reach by doing which karma, so in a way we can direct destiny through karma but the simple thing is that this should also be in the destiny.

Our destiny keeps on increasing or decreasing through the people who comes and gets connected in our life, it has been seen that a person's child gets more happiness or sorrow than that person himself. If the child has the enjoyment of a vehicle written in his destiny, then his father himself also enjoys it through the destiny of the child. Some people become successful or unsuccessful after marriage. This happens because the destiny of the life partner remains through our destiny and by giving a complete and inevitable effect on our destiny. One special thing has been said in 'Gita' that destiny is formed according to the karma done in life. This thing gives birth to a new question that who has actually seen destiny? But if we observe, it is definitely seen in life that there is some unknown thing due to which a person is lucky by birth, some by karma, and some one's misfortune makes him born in a tough situation. (Desh, Kaal,Paristithi...i.e region,time,conditions prevalent at that particular time)

That means, this unknown thing is somewhere connected to something which is not related to this new born child right now. Because he has not done any karma or action yet. It is believed that the destiny is determined by the karmas accumulated and performed in that birth or births which no one has seen and we go through some part of it in every birth. We become capable of doing karma through our intelligence and worldly knowledge. If we do a lot of karma to fulfill a desire and suffer while doing that karma, then that karma and the efforts made by us become a kind of payment for that particular thing and in return of that advance payment, we get it, though this is in a way snatching from destiny or victory over destiny through karma. But after some time that thing which was not received by destiny on its own, makes us attached to it, gives us happiness for some time and then goes away, otherwise it starts giving us sorrow/suffering. Therefore, we will have to constantly try to keep the things snatched by destiny, till then the payment will keep happening through karma. Therefore, it is actually futile to fight with destiny, yet it is very difficult to understand and comprehend.Probably only a wise Guru can help us internalise this thought. Ego centricity is rising problem currently which is causing divide in familes and world alike. See around you at homes, neighbourhood, globally conflicts are arising because of the nature of fight/ incorrectly perceived as courage. Fight is the last recourse for any situation be material or otherwise. When Krishna said "Karmanya wadhika raste ma phalashu kadachana" , probably he meant in a subtle way to Arjuna who was still attached to his Ego..that why worry about result child, anyways its not your hand for sure,focus on the now the present moment only and surrender to me completely. Some keep thinking all their life its they who have crafted their life's outcomes .amusingly so... And there is nothing positive or negative in the world, its just as it is....the perceivers mind makes the decision based on his preconditioning.

Hence if karma is actually aligned with swadharma(i.e purpose), then karma alignment technique could possibly fructify. What seems logical to us sometimes based on the wordly laws, but it may not actually be in line with the swadharma, therefore, there can be a lot of stress and strain while doing karma and even after achieving some results, we may feel non-fulfilled in due course of time. Good stress and strain generally is not compulsive. If you seee  a tree branch hindered by a compound wall , if it has the natural strength , it would just pierce through or and if not it will divert its growth direction, which means it follows the least resistance path of existence and more of acceptance regime.The purification of intention (as to "why") before doing karma every time over a period of time will start karma alignment slowly and steadily leading to more fufilling decision making and in course towards being peaceful through journey of life.

"The power of surrender is this: you do not have to move mountains; you simply have to listen. You simply have to take slow and steady steps aligned to swadharma and let the universe do its half. By letting go, we leave space to let a little more flow naturally make its way in – and Believe this; the universe has enough flow to go around."
